Gigi Goode is an American cross queen and reality tv character known for being a runner up on the twelfth time of the drag competition series RuPaul’s Race. Goode participated in a Savage X Fenty fashion show, was cast in the Drive ‘N Drag concert series, and appeared in multiple music videos following her Drag Race appearance.

Goode went to Woodstock Secondary School, where she graduated in 2016. She received the David S. Monroe Art Award in 2017 for “outstanding achievement in art, recognizing students for their major, excellence in their work, and exhibiting a professional attitude” while attending Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois, where she majored in art. She eventually left Millikin and relocated to Los Angeles.

Goode competed on the twelfth season of the reality competition show RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2020. She finished as runner-up and was the youngest contestant of the season. Goode and her mom collaborated on a large number of the outfits Goode wore on the show. In the main challenges in episodes 4, 6, 7, and 12, Goode prevailed.
She played Maria the Robot, a character based on the experimental humanoid robot Sophia, in Snatch Game. Jezebel referred to her depiction of Maria as “actual parody gold” and “inconceivably clever”. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Goode took part in Werq the World Battle Royale, a drag show and fundraiser that was streamed live.
She was one of a dozen former Drag Race contestants cast in the Drive ‘N Drag concert series in the middle of 2020. In October 2020, Goode and other Drag Race contestants appeared in the variety show Bring Back My Ghouls, which was based on Halloween.
Gigi Goode Controversy
On RuPaul’s Drag Race, Goode first identified as gender fluid. On August 29, 2021, she posted a video to Instagram announcing that she was transgender and non-binary. She made the announcement that she had undergone facial feminization surgery and started hormone replacement therapy in January 2021. Goode refers to herself as “she/her.”
