Jeff Wittek Career
Wittek grew up on Staten Island, New York, and went to Susan E. Wagner High School. He grew up in a difficult neighborhood and made money as a youngster by working at local barbershops and selling narcotics. After relocating to Miami, Florida, he continued to sell drugs and was eventually arrested in 2011 for possession of marijuana, cocaine, and a controlled substance, as well as unlawful drug trafficking. The charges were dropped due to a lack of a search warrant, so he relocated to Los Angeles with the intention of purchasing marijuana in quantity and mailing it back to New York City.
Wittek was injured while shooting a stunt with David Dobrik and the Vlog Squad in Utah in June 2020. Dobrik was unlawfully driving an excavator in a shallow lake while Wittek hanged from a rope fastened to the end of the excavator arm. When Dobrik began spinning the rope too quickly, Wittek collided with the excavator and fell into the river upside down with his foot caught in the rope.
