Lilly Saini Singh is a comedian, actress, writer, television host, and YouTuber from Canada. In 2010 Singh started making YouTube videos. She used to go by the name pseudonym Superwoman, which was her YouTube username til 2019. In 2016, Singh released her first film, a narrative chronicling her world tour, which qualified as A Trip to Unicorn Island.
She published her first book, How to Be a Bawse: A Guide to Conquering Life, in March 2017 which was ranked first on the best-seller list in the New York Times. Singh was the executive producer and host of the NBC late-night talk show A Little Late with Lilly Singh from September 2019 to June 2021. She is the first person of Indian Drop to have an American major broadcast network late-night talk show.

Singh was born on 26 September 1988, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in the Scarborough district. Her parents are Malvindar Kaur and Sukvindar Singh an Indian Punjabi from Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India and raised her as a Sikh. Her older sister Tina born in 1982 is also a YouTuber.
Lilly Singh Education
In elementary school, she attended Mary Shadd Public School. In 2006, she graduated from Lester B. Pearson Collegiate Institute in Malvern, Toronto. As an alumna, she went back to see her teachers.
She took part in Girl Guides of Canada’s youth programs and was a member. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2010 from York University in Toronto.
Lilly Singh Career
Singh started a YouTube channel in October 2010 under the name “IISuperwomanII.” She explained that the name Superwoman was provoked by a childhood thought, causing her to accept she could do anything. Singh had first made it clear that she would return to graduate school if her YouTube career did not progress, despite her parents’ request that she attend graduate school.
In December 2011, Singh started a second channel called “SuperwomanVlogs,” which is now called “Lilly Singh Vlogs.” On this channel, she talks about her day-to-day activities and includes footage from her videos that shows what happens behind the scenes. She involved it as a second channel to uploads videos until August 2014, when she started uploading video blogs. In 2011, Singh made an appearance in the films Speedy Singhs and Thank You as a background dancer.
In March 2015, Singh started a world tour titled “A Trip to Unicorn Island”, adjusting her YouTube content and including singing, dancing, music exhibitions, comedy, and her parent characters. India, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, Canada, Trinidad and Tobago, the United Kingdom, the United States, and India were all stops on her tour.
