About Robert Ng
Robert Ng Chee Siong is a Singaporean tycoon money manager. Ng is the executive of Sino Gathering, a Hong Kong-based land activity he controls with his sibling, starting around 1991 in Philip. Conrad Hong Kong and Fullerton Hotel Singapore are owned by Sino. The siblings additionally control Far East Association, Singapore’s biggest confidential property designer, and have stakes in Hong Kong engineer Tsim Sha Tsui Properties.
Robert Ng Family
Ng is the oldest child of Ng Teng Fong, who established the Far East Association, the greatest firmly held property designer in Singapore, and Sino Gathering in Hong Kong. In 2010, his father passed away as a result of a cerebral haemorrhage. Robert, a lawyer by training, built the family’s Hong Kong real estate business under the guidance of the late patriarch.
Robert Ng Career
Since 1981, he has been chairman of Sino Group, which is the parent company of Sino Hotels, Tsim Sha Tsui Properties, and Sino Land, all of which are listed in Hong Kong. The Far East Organization is overseen by Philip, the younger brother.
In 1981, Sino Land held its first public offering. As a general novice then, at that point, Robert needed to rival laid-out players, including Cheung Kong, Sun Hung Kai Properties and Henderson Land Improvement, which held huge parcels of horticultural land purchased many years sooner. He won a standing for purchasing costly plots of land to contend with the cartel of designers.
In June 1995, Ng took over as director of Yeo Hiap Seng (YHS), a Singapore-recorded food and drinks organisation which had lost US$3.2 million in its earlier year of activity. His appointment as chairman coincided with the growth of his family’s stake in the business to 24.9%, just shy of the 25% threshold above which they would be required by law to offer to acquire all other shareholders.
In his battle with Malaysian billionaire Quek Leng Chan for control of YHS and its land holdings in Singapore’s Bukit Timah district, which could be worth billions of dollars if redeveloped into residential real estate, this represented a significant step forward.
Robert Ng Facts
Starting in the last part of the 1990s, the family turned out to be more dynamic in the Hong Kong Rider Club. Daryl, Nikki, and Jeanne own four ponies between them, while the senior Ng himself claims eight and his better half one.
In 2002, it was said that Ng was interested in joining the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s 12-member board of stewards. However, Ng’s actions during the 1987 collapse of the futures market sparked objections from some of the club’s 200 voting members.
Robert Ng Net Worth
Robert Ng’s net worth was estimated to be around $15.2 billion USD, as of 2023, making him a billionaire businessman.
