Steven M. Rales is a businessman and film producer from the United States. Danaher Corporation was co-founded by him and his brother Mitchell Rales in 1984. Products in the life sciences, dental, diagnostics, environmental, and applied solutions industries are developed and manufactured by Danaher, a global innovator in science and technology. From 1984 to 1989, Steven Rales led Danaher Corporation as CEO, and he currently leads the company as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

His father was also a philanthropist, establishing the Ruth Rales Jewish Family Service and the Norman and Ruth Rales Foundation.

They changed the name to Broadened Home Loan Financial backers, in 1978, and afterwards Danaher in 1984.

Rales established the film production organisation Indian Paintbrush in 2006. The organisation works intimately with producer Wes Anderson and has delivered outstanding movies like Moonrise Kingdom, The Grand Budapest Hotel, and Isle of Dogs.
