Kurtis Matthew Kenneth Conner was born on 4 May 1994, at North York General Hospital in Toronto’s North York district. He spent his childhood in Hamilton before returning to Toronto. He has a younger sister. On June 6, 2023, his stepfather passed away. Conner started doing stand-up comedy when he was 19 years old, and he later enrolled in the Comedy Writing and Performance program at Humber College.

Conner began using social media through Vine, a six-second video-only app that was available from June 2012 to January 2017. He had about 350 thousand followers on the platform at one point, but he later decided to try making long-form videos on YouTube.

In 2014, Conner uploaded the first video on his channel. He initially made videos for fun after his full-time office work, uploading around each week. His channel started to pick up in 2017 when one of his videos had 600K views in two days, driving him to expand his video output. Conner took a chance and quit his office job to work full-time as a YouTuber.

His channel has become known for his study of content apparent as tricky on YouTube, and for ridiculing the people who wish to underestimate groups. In 2019, he and his friend and fellow comedian Jacob Sharpe criticized TikToker Sebastian Bails and Bails’s girlfriend Lauren Godwin on their YouTube channel for making light of domestic abuse.

Conner also criticised a “female Viagra” trend on YouTube, which included YouTubers controlling love for women by spiking their girlfriend’s drinks without their consent. His video was removed from YouTube as it showed the controversial way of behaving, other “female Viagra” videos were available on the internet at that point.
