Matthew Timothy Healy was born in Hendon, north London, on April 8, 1989. He is a child of actors Tim Healy and Denise Welch, in 2012 they both take divorce. Healy’s parents were working actors of stage and TV for quite a bit of his experience growing up, with his mom turning into a superstar figure in his teenagers. Healy has been a vocal promoter for LGBTQ+ rights. In 2018, Healy and his bandmates made what The Guardian depicted as a “significant” donation to a LGBTQ+ public venue for London.
