He founded HCL in 1976, beginning as a manufacturer of minicomputers and eventually becoming India’s fourth-largest IT services company. Shiv Nadar is a remarkable Indian businessman, billionaire, and philanthropist. He was born in 1945 in the small village of Moolaipozhi in the Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu state. Being the youngest of four siblings, he had an early passion for education and learning. He completed his schooling at nearby schools such as James Nadar High School Kurumbalapatti.

After his higher secondary school, he received a Bachelor’s degree from PSG College Of Technology in Coimbatore. His college year was filled with active involvement in extra-curricular activities such as athletics which further fuelled his enthusiasm and energy for success.
