Bert Butler “Tito” Beveridge was born on August 9, 1961, in San Antonio, Texas. He majored in geology and geophysics at the University of Texas at Austin. Tito worked in the oil industry after graduation, including stints in Colombia and Venezuela. He initially established a drilling business in Houston, relocated to Austin, and eventually entered the mortgage industry.

After watching a late-night motivational speaker tell people to find their life’s work by combining their interests and skills, he decided to start a vodka company. Unfit to find financial backers for the business, he utilised individual reserve funds and Visa obligation to develop his unique set in a one-room shack in an unfashionable piece of Austin.
