About Travis Barker
Travis Landon Barker is the drummer for the rock band Blink-182 in the United States. He has worked with hip-hop musicians, is a part of the rap rock group Transplants, cofounded the rock band +44, and has been a member of Box Car Racer, Antemasque, and Goldfinger. Barker worked frequently with the late DJ AM, and the two established TRV$DJAM. Because of his celebrity, Rolling Stone dubbed him “punk’s first superstar drummer” and one of the 100 best drummers of all time.
Travis Barker Career
After graduating from Fontana High School, Barker worked as a trash collector in Laguna Beach. He then joined the Fontana-based punk rock group Snot and Feeble, where he met Chad Larson. Larson later co-founded the ska punk band the Aquabats in 1994. Barker was recruited by the band through Larson’s connection after local gigs and demo tapes. He was intended to fill in for a few days but ended up becoming a member of the band while “sleeping on friend’s couch” and continuing to work as a trash collector.
Barker has participated in various films and television shows, including his own reality show, Meet the Barkers, which aired in 2005 with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler. He appears briefly with Blink-182 in the teen film American Pie. In 2003, he appeared in an episode of MTV’s Punk’d, a Candid Camera-style television show, in which he participated in a staged bareknuckle boxing match; in May of that year, he appeared and spoke alongside Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington on MTV’s Icon show honoring heavy metal band Metallica.

Barker’s first marriage lasted 9 months before he filed for divorce in August 2002. On October 30, 2004, he married actress and Miss USA 1995 Shanna Moakler. On the Halloween evening, the pair married in a gothic ceremony inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas. Barker and Moakler are the parents of two children, a son born in 2003 and a daughter born in 2005. Barker is also very close to his former stepdaughter Atiana, Moakler’s daughter with ex-fiancé, boxer Oscar De La Hoya, who appears frequently on The Kardashians as Barker’s “daughter.”

On December 7, 2014, police were summoned to Barker and Moakler’s joint residence in Los Angeles following a verbal dispute between the two. Criminal threats were made against each other, resulting in the arrests of both Barker and Moakler. There were no charges filed against him.
