American actor Jack Champion. In 2022’s Avatar: The Way of Water Jack Champion made his debut as Spider, a human adolescent living on Pandora. He formally joined the Avatar sequel cast in 2017 as Miles “Spider” Socorro, Colonel Miles Quaritch’s teenage son who grew up as a scientist on Pandora and developed a close bond with Jake Sully’s family. In the 2023 slasher movie Scream VI, he also played Ethan Landry.

Jack Champion was born in November 2004 in Blacksburg, Virginia. His microbiologist mother raised him there. He has said that she inspired his desire to pursue acting. At the age of 8, he started acting in school plays and later moved on to short films. He played a small part in the 2015 season of the docuseries American Genius.

In order to join the cast of James Cameron’s science fiction movie Avatar: The Way of Water, Champion booked a screen test in 2017. He shot a little part in the superhero movie Avengers: Endgame (2019) before being chosen for the role. He also played the lead in the 2018 horror movie The Night Sitter.
At the age of 12, Champion secured his Avatar role after four months of tough auditions. He was chosen to play Spider, a young guy from Earth who lives on Pandora among the Na’vis. Because of the nature of his character, Champion is a record of each moment twice. His work required two years of performance capture on a soundstage, then two and a half years of live-action shooting in New Zealand. In 2022, after five years of production and when Champion turned 18, the movie was finally released. The third-highest-grossing movie of all time, it made almost $2 billion globally.
Jack Champion’s Fitness
He worked out frequently with a personal trainer and ate a high-protein diet during production to retain a muscular body because his character is shirtless. For scenes that were shot underwater, he also learnt freediving and scuba diving.
