He is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he is the chief executive officer, chairman, and sole owner of the Jim Pattison Group. James Allen Pattison was born on October 1, 1928. When Pattison was born at a hospital in Saskatoon, his parents lived in the rural town of Luseland, Saskatchewan. When Pattison was six years old, the family moved to East Vancouver, English Columbia. During the summers, however, he returned to Saskatchewan.
