Richard S. LeFrak is an American very rich money manager. He serves as chairman and CEO of LeFrak, a privately held, family-run business in New York City that owns, develops, and manages real estate. He is a major landlord in the tri-state area of New York.

He served on Smith & Wollensky’s board of directors from 1995 until 2007. Before, he served on the leading group of legal administrators of Amherst School and Trinity School; was an individual from the New York State Banking Board; and held the position of director for BankUnited Florida.

Richard was born in 1945 to a Jewish family in New York City. LeFrak was one of four children of real estate developers Samuel J. LeFrak and Ethel Stone.
