Viktor Felixovich Vekselberg is a Russian–Israeli–Cypriot oligarch, billionaire, and entrepreneur who was born in Ukraine. He is the president and owner of the Russian conglomerate Renova Group. The Kremlin is not far from Vekselberg. In response to Russia’s annexation of Crimea, the United States placed sanctions on him and 23 other Russian nationals in April 2018, officially freezing up to $2 billion in assets.

Viktor Vekselberg was brought into the world in Lviv, he was brought into the world in Drohobych, Ukrainian Soviet Communist Republic, to a Ukrainian Jewish dad and a Russian mother in 1957. The Holocaust claimed the lives of all seventeen members of Vekselberg’s family. They were killed and covered in a mass grave during the Nazi constraints in Drohobych, Western Ukraine.
