Viktor Felixovich Vekselberg is a Russian–Israeli–Cypriot oligarch, billionaire, and entrepreneur who was born in Ukraine. He is the president and owner of the Russian conglomerate Renova Group. The Kremlin is not far from Vekselberg. In response to Russia’s annexation of Crimea, the United States placed sanctions on him and 23 other Russian nationals in April 2018, officially freezing up to $2 billion in assets.
