Viatcheslav Moshe Kantor is a Russian businessman who has strong ties to the government of Vladimir Putin. The Acorn Group, which is one of the world’s leading producers and distributors of mineral fertiliser, is led by Kantor. Kantor held the positions of Chairman of the European Jewish Fund (EJF), Chairman of the World Jewish Congress (WJC) Policy Council, President of the World Holocaust Forum Foundation (WHF), and President of the European Jewish Congress.

Born on September 8, 1953, Kantor spent his early years in Moscow. He received his degree from the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) in 1976, after which he worked as a researcher for the MAI and NPO Spektr. In 1981, he finished his PhD in Shuttle Programmed Control Frameworks. He was a scientist who led one of the MAI research labs.
In 1989-1993, Kantor was Chief General of Intelmas, a telecoms organisation. In 1996-2000 he was a monetary counsel to the Executive of the Organization Committee of the Russian Government Gathering. The Acorn Group, which is one of the world’s leading producers and distributors of mineral fertiliser, is led by Kantor. He has close ties to the Russian government led by Vladimir Putin.
The International Luxembourg Forum on Preventing Nuclear Catastrophe, a non-governmental organisation that brings together world-renowned leaders in the fields of nuclear non-proliferation, materials, and delivery vehicles, was established and Kantor was elected president in 2007. The Discussion was laid out as per a choice of the Global Gathering held in Luxembourg on May 24-25, 2007. The meeting was attended by north of 50 eminent specialists from 14 countries.
