Paul was born on April 1, 1995, in Westlake, Ohio, to Pamela Stepnick and Gregory Paul. He asserts that he is of German, Jewish, Irish, Scottish, Welsh, English, and Irish ancestry. He had around 1 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, 1.5 million followers on Twitter, and 3 million followers on Instagram. A YouTube video of his Vine work collected millions of views the first week it was posted.
